ANNOUNCEMENT May 1, 2020

Dear Valued Member of our QDS Family,

We are very excited to inform you that we have re-opened our Dental Office as of May 19, 2020.  Please feel free to give us a call at 702-880-9527, or send us an email at qualitydentalsmile@yahoo.com so we can start listing your appointment.  Please note of why you are coming in, preferred days and time and preferred contact information.  We will be calling you back to clarify.  As always, we will also be sending you reminders through email and text messaging.

Given the most recent developments around the coronavirus, I want to share with you that we, at Quality Dental Smile, take the health and well-being of our patients and staff very seriously.  Please be assured we are keeping a close eye on updates with local and state health departments so we can be prepared to take all proper precautions to make sure everyone feels safe.

To date, we have NO team members that have a known exposure to, symptoms related to or confirmation of the coronavirus, COVID-19.  We have purchased new equipments, such as: state of the art VacStations and air-purifiers.  Each room will have it’s own state of the art air-purifier, and those cubicle needing high-speed tools will have the state of the art VacStation.

We are staying vigilant and continue to do our best to provide you with the best and safest service.  As you all know, we have always implemented the required recommendations by the CDC and ADA for dental office infection control.  We care about your safety and work hard to prevent the spread of infection.

Once you arrive at our parking lot, we ask you to call our office so we can ask routine questions regarding your overall health.  Please wear your personal mask and once you arrive outside the door, our staff will meet you to take your temperature and have you sign the symptoms list you confirmed over the phone.

Once you enter the office, we will guide you to the bathroom to wash your hands, then you can either be directed to your dental chair or have you wait at the waiting room.

Before you enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and countertops, have been cleaned and disinfected.

Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused.

We use the portable UV light for 10-15 minutes after each patient to cover every area.

You will also find that some equipment are covered.  The protective covers are replaced after each patient.

Infection control precautions also require all dental staff directly involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, KN95 masks, gowns and face shield.   After each patient, disposable gloves are immediately thrown away.  Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and put on a new pair of gloves.  Front Staff and Management will be wearing surgical masks at all times.

And given the current situation, we have increased our processes to keep our facilities a safe and welcoming environment.  We have instructed our Staff to take extra sanitation measurements, not only in their work field but also around the perimeters of the office.  We have also asked them to stay healthy and safe most especially during this period.

Your well-being has always been important to us.  That’s why infection control procedures are strictly followed at our dental office.

While we do our part, we kindly ask that you do your part.  We are asking to limit the amount of family members coming to appointments to one responsible party only.  We kindly ask that please refrain from touching your face, and everyone wash their hands before and after leaving the facility.

Please call our office at your earliest convenience so we can cancel your appointment, and we would be more than happy to reschedule your appointment, IF:

feeling ill, have flu-like symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat and/or fever), or otherwise feel unwell, have diarrhea, feeling short of breath.  PLEASE stay home and rest (and don’t forget to notify your physician immediately).

you, or someone you are in close contact with, have recently traveled to one of the countries with Level 3 or 4 Travel Restrictions (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories.html/ ) within 30 days of their scheduled dental appointment.

if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19, or who was quarantined as a precaution, please wait for 30 days until you see your dentist to make sure you have not caught the coronavirus.  We would also request for a medical clearance before you come to our office.

This will help reduce the risk of spreading your illness.  If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your scheduled dental appointment.

We will continue with our normal business hours for the time being, however, normal business hours could change based on how this situation progresses within our community.

It is important to be united as a community and help each other out.  Panic and fear will only create more turmoil.  Stay calm and safe.  We hope that this is only temporary.

Our hearts go out to all affected.  Stay healthy and safe.

Best Regards,

Dr. John Domingo and Staff
